Wandering hour complications are one of the most eye-catching and intriguing displays in watchmaking, typically reserved for extremely high end luxury watches. The complexity involved in creating these in-house custom movements typically pushes prices up into the tens of thousands of dollars, but not at Xeric. We’ve spent years developing our own unique three-armed wandering hour timepiece at a fair price.
The Triptych Automatic was inspired by classic, historical watches while taking advantage of modern manufacturing and finishing precision today. As time passes, the next hour number shifts into position via the hidden geneva gear mechanism. A spiral guilloche pattern creates a sense of motion and gives the appearance that the wandering hour discs are engraving the texture down into the dial.
